The weather was hot and so was the pace of the competing cars as records were broken again and again. Organised by Liverpool Motor Club, in association with Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club, the event attracted entrants from far and wide who were treated to five runs up the short but fast course. Fastest time of the day was set by Jim Macdiarmid in his Force PC.

2026 Greystoke Stages

Alan Carmichael secured his third successive win on this West Cumbria Motorsport Club & Eden Valley Motor Club joint event after setting fastest time on all five stages. Co-driven by Harry Walshaw the Hyundai i20N Rally2 crew finished over a minute ahead of the Ford Fiesta R5 of Stephen Waugh & Carl Williamson. Michael Glendinning & Mark Mason completed the podium places in their Subaru Impreza with the similar car of Oliver & Lewis Wood taking fourth place while Stuart Egglestone & Christina Robinson rounded off the top five in their Ford Escort Mk2.

2026 Trade Car Mats 061 Targa Rally

The Trade Car Mats 061 Targa Road Rally, a round of the ANWCC, SD34, KLMC North of England and BTRRDA Targa Rally Championships was won by Bob Milligan & Jo Hayes in their Austin Mini. The event, organised by Stockport 061 Motor Club, was based at Weeton Camp, Nr Blackpool where 55 cars made the start ahead of eight tests and 42 miles of timed to the second competition.

2026 Barbon Speed Hillclimb (June)

Organised by Liverpool Motor Club in association with Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club, the event drew a large crowd who were treated to some high speed action throughout the day from a variety of cars. Fastest time was set by Mark Hemingway in his 1670cc Force TA followed by the 1397cc Force PC of Jim Macdiarmid. John Stone was an impressive fifth in the overall rankings after out pacing a number of single seater race car in his Volkswagen Polo Gti R5.

2026 Aintree Spring Sprint

More than 100 drivers took to the former Grand Prix circuit once graced by Moss and Clark to put their skills and cars to the test on the first of Liverpool Motor Club’s annual two sprints. Fastest time of the day was set by 6R4.com proprietor Dr Ian Rowlance in his Gould GR53. The event was a round of the LMC, ANWCC, SD34, Longton, AMOC, Classic Marques, Jaguar, Midland, Morgan, National Historic, NSCC and 7s Speed Championships.

2026 Jim Clark Reivers Rally

Garry Pearson & Hannah McKillop headed the standings from start to finish in their Ford Fiesta Rally2. The rally, the third round of the 2026 Asset Alliance Group Scottish Rally Championship, featured eight special stages providing 57 miles of competition over the fast flowing roads of the Scottish Borders.

Max McRae & Cameron Fair were winners in their Skoda Fabia Rally2 finishing with an impressive 30 second winning margin ahead of the Toyoya GR Yaris Rally2 of Meirion Evans & Dale Furness. The event was a qualifying round of the British Rally Championship, the Protyre Motorsport UK Asphalt Rally Championship, the AS Performance North of England Tarmacadam Rally Championship and the ANECCC SG Petch Stage Rally Championship. Friday evening’s four special stages were followed by a furter six tests on Saturday providing over 92 miles of competition.

2026 GPMC Spring Stages

Victory on this Garstang & Preston Motor Club event, held at the Three Sisters Race Circuit near Wigan, were Jason & Lee Wilson in their Darrian T90 GTR, Winners of Class 14 for Junior 1000 entrants were Eric Smith and Dylan Griffiths in the Skoda Citigo (car 64) whilst top Cross Car honours (Class 16) went to the Speed Car Wonder of David Kane. The event was a round of both the ANWCC and SD34 Stage Rally Championships. Our gallery contains a single image of all starters with more available on request.

2026 Twilight Targa Rally

This Stockport 061 Motor Club event, at Weeton Camp, Nr Blackpool, was won by John & Ethan Davies, who headed the standings from start to finish, in their Ford Puma. Alun Tudur Morris & Dylan Sion Richards broght their Subaru Impreza home second overall while Howard Price & Dylan Griffiths completed the podium places in their Ford Escort Mk2.

2025 Grizedale Stages Rally

David Bogie & Kirsty Riddick brought their VW Polo R5 to victory after 40 miles of competition spread over six challenging stages in the Grizedale Forest complex. Ollie Mellors & Ian Windress provided the closest challenge in their Proton Iriz R5 while the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo9 of Angus Lawrie & Jane Nicol completed the podium places.

Hero’s annual event replicating RAC Rallies of the 50s & 60s was won by John King & Matthew Vokes in a Lotus Elan Plus 2. Winners of the LITE event were Dick & Harry Baines in a Austin Mini Cooper S. The opening round of the 2025-26 Protyre Circuit Rally Championship supported by Motorsport News saw 105 cars take to the track at the Oulton Pasrk Race Circuit for the Bolton-le-Moors Car Club event, Joe Cunningham & Josh Beer took the victory spoils bringing their Ford Fiesta WRC home five seconds clear of the Citroen C3 Rally2 of current champions Michael Igoe & Will Atkins.
