2026 Aintree Autumn Sprint

Liverpool Motor Club’s final Sprint of the year at the iconic Aitntree venue again attracted more than 100 drivers in an eclectic mix of marques and models. In a repeat of his Spring result Dr Ian Rowlance set fastest time of the day in his Gould GR53. The event was a round of the LMC, ANWCC, SD34, Longton, MGCC, TR Register, HSA, NSCC, X Border and 7s Speed Championships. As always we have multiple images of every car with proofs available on request.

2026 North West Rally Legends

Organised by North West Rally Legends in association with Wigan & District Motor Club and Bolton-le-Moors Car Club the event commemorated the 40th anniversary of Wigan’s Haigh Hall hosting a special stage as part of the 1986 Lombard RAC Rally. The demonstration stage featured a mix of cars from the 80s, 90s and 00s that featured on World Rally Championship rounds of their particular era together with some more modern day examples. A huge crowd, estimated to be of the order of 2000 attendees, were treated to some high speed action from the 18 cars that were able to make multiple runs over the tarmac parkland road.

2026 Pendragon Stages

The Warcop Military Ranges, close to the town of Brough, played host to this event organised by Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club with assistance from Eden Valley Motor Club and Northallerton Automobile Club. A counter to the NETRC; STRC; MINI Challenge; SD34, HRCR and ANWCC Stage Rally Championships the rally attracted a maximum 90 car entry and like the weather the pace was hot! The top seven finishers were all Ford Fiesta variants with top honours taken by the WRC version of Joe Cunningham & Joshua Beer. Their closest rivals were the S2000T of Kevin Procter & Robb Fagg and the Rally2 of Ian Forgan and David Henderson. The famous ‘Blue Oval’ marque also saw a top ten finish for Ricky Wheeler & Mark Casey who brought their Historic Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000 home in eighth place.

2026 Heroes Rally

Ryan Fagan & Lewis Sim brought their Ford Fiesta R5 to victory having fended off a determined challenge from the Darrian T90 GTR of early leaders Jason & Lee Wilson. Weeton provided its usual tough challenge with only 26 of the 40 cars that started the event making the finish.

2026 Heroes Junior Rally

McKenzie Snowden & Robert Fagg justified their top seeding by bringing their Volkawagen Up! to victory ahead of a chasing pack of Skoda Citigos. Heading the Citigo charge and finishing as runners-up were James McLaughlan & Keith Fair while Iago Edwards & Caron Tomlinson claimed the final podium place ahead of Zak Furber & Ben Wild. Organised by Garstang & Preston Motor Club in collaboration with Pendle & District Motor Club the event, based at the Weeton Army Camp near Blackpool, wasa round of tge F1000 Junior Rally Championship attracted a 22 car entry.

2026 Longton Mid-Summer Sprint

Following on from his victory at the previous weekend’s Barbon Speed Hillclimb Jim Macdiarmid set another fastest time of the day in his Force PC. Fine weather combined with some slick organisation by members of Longton & District Motor Club to enable competitors to have nine runs over the 1143m course at the Three Sisters Race Circuit, near Wigan. Photographs of every car are available while our gallery contains only a small selection of images from the 100s taken on the day.

2026 Barbon Speed Hillclimb (July)

The weather was hot and so was the pace of the competing cars as records were broken again and again. Organised by Liverpool Motor Club, in association with Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club, the event attracted entrants from far and wide who were treated to five runs up the short but fast course. Fastest time of the day was set by Jim Macdiarmid in his Force PC.

2026 Greystoke Stages

Alan Carmichael secured his third successive win on this West Cumbria Motorsport Club & Eden Valley Motor Club joint event after setting fastest time on all five stages. Co-driven by Harry Walshaw the Hyundai i20N Rally2 crew finished over a minute ahead of the Ford Fiesta R5 of Stephen Waugh & Carl Williamson. Michael Glendinning & Mark Mason completed the podium places in their Subaru Impreza with the similar car of Oliver & Lewis Wood taking fourth place while Stuart Egglestone & Christina Robinson rounded off the top five in their Ford Escort Mk2.

2026 Trade Car Mats 061 Targa Rally

The Trade Car Mats 061 Targa Road Rally, a round of the ANWCC, SD34, KLMC North of England and BTRRDA Targa Rally Championships was won by Bob Milligan & Jo Hayes in their Austin Mini. The event, organised by Stockport 061 Motor Club, was based at Weeton Camp, Nr Blackpool where 55 cars made the start ahead of eight tests and 42 miles of timed to the second competition.

2026 Barbon Speed Hillclimb (June)

Organised by Liverpool Motor Club in association with Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club, the event drew a large crowd who were treated to some high speed action throughout the day from a variety of cars. Fastest time was set by Mark Hemingway in his 1670cc Force TA followed by the 1397cc Force PC of Jim Macdiarmid. John Stone was an impressive fifth in the overall rankings after out pacing a number of single seater race car in his Volkswagen Polo Gti R5.

2026 Aintree Spring Sprint

More than 100 drivers took to the former Grand Prix circuit once graced by Moss and Clark to put their skills and cars to the test on the first of Liverpool Motor Club’s annual two sprints. Fastest time of the day was set by 6R4.com proprietor Dr Ian Rowlance in his Gould GR53. The event was a round of the LMC, ANWCC, SD34, Longton, AMOC, Classic Marques, Jaguar, Midland, Morgan, National Historic, NSCC and 7s Speed Championships.
